EDIT: In light of certain information now being publicly available on the M.E.N. website, I can now say that Mr O'B is in fact Mr Shaun O'Brien of OB Trucks, located on Quinn Street. However, we still cannot give out his home address.
You've seen this, right? Basically, in a nut-shell, MCFC are to build their next project over the road, which will be several full-size pitches and some half-pitches to train the next breed of City players.
Trouble is, there's this fellow who has a business there (his last one folded), who lives in Stockport (SK1 to be more exact, but I can't really give out his exact address, can I?).
His plan is to sell 1 sq ft of land for £250 to his fellow United supporters, thereby when City come calling, they can make a massive profit.
Umm ... oh dear.
There is a plot of land currently for sale a mere 5 minutes walk away that is 181 acres. Cost? £20k
Methinks this is going to end badly for Mr O'B, of SK1.
However, you obviously want more info, yes?
There aren't that many businesses in that area, and all (save for Mr O'B who has this batshit mental idea) have been offered full-market value plus compensation.
Trouble is, Mr O'B has a net worth of £-2,807 (filed in 2010), and liabilities of £342,231 (also 2010), so you can kind of understand why he is so desperately desperate. He even states on his website that he isn't accountable if any investors lose money.
So, Mr O'B of SK1, do you want to continue this charade? Do you want to hold a company to ransom who will bring much needed jobs to the City? An infrastructure that will serve the residents well?
You (and your missus, who was a director) keep pushing, fella, because we have far more info.
We are discussing it
here.
